Cec Quinnell's mother lived at 193 Flood Street, Leichhardt during World War II and later.  He has written a detailed account of life in the area then: the neighbours (i.e. the Bradleys), schools,  visiting salesmen like the 'rabbitoh', the corner shops, etc.

  • interior and exterior of Albert Palais (1959)
  • gatherings of Leichhardt Catholic Youth Organisation in 50s and 60s.
